Ethionine resistant. Soluble methionine overaccumulation. Elevated enzyme activity for cystathionine gamma-synthase (CGS). Elevated CGS protein accumulation. Elevated CGS mRNA accumulation. CGS mRNA level insensitive to exogenous application of methionine. Little growth retardation.
